Life has been very busy/occupied with the recent art show based in Cotignac, which although rather tucked away up by the mairie, was well attended by a flock of friends at the vernissage/opening night drinks. It was an interesting experience, & very bonding for the group, but frankly not hugely profitable!

Despite one brave member who paraded around the high street on market day wearing a sandwich board, we didn't attract many visitors. At least we learnt that another gallery which was better placed, didn't have much in the way of interest/sales either, so maybe people just aren't willing to spend their money on paintings these days. Oh well, it was worth a try- meanwhile we will look forward to more of our gentle Friday mornings painting in the lovely house in Cotignac, with beautiful views from the terrace- what could be better?
