We finally
managed to gather together in Anne's
welcoming venue with its views, & generous
tables/chairs - just like before covid-
well, nearly. Four enthusiastic artists were
given a simple exercise of painting an
exuberant sunflower first, just to loosen
up, scatter salt & use cling film with
varying results but all pleasing to the eye.
Then we launched into an equally simple
attempt to copy a landscape with blue sky,
mountains & some stunning autumn
trees/leaves as a frame. We had some real
leaves in front of us to verify those deep
reds, & brilliant oranges & yellows, &
everyone ended up with a pleasing picture at
the end of the afternoon- three hours just
flew by.
The plan is to continue like this every week
if possible, with the inevitable change of
venues when needed- watch this space. |
